UPDATE ON CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS
The Premier has this morning announced important changes to restrictions that apply from 11:59pm tonight for Metropolitan Melbourne.
◾ The 5km limit for exercise and shopping will be extended to 25km
◾ Two-hour limit for exercise and socialising will no longer apply
◾ Outdoor sports settings including tennis courts, golf courses and skateparks will be able to reopen
◾ All allied health professionals currently operating will be able to resume routine face-to-face care
◾ Hairdressers will be able to reopen with strict safety protocols in place
◾ Outdoor real estate auctions will be able to take place with up to 10 people, plus staff
◾ Groups of up to ten people from two households will be able to gather in outdoor public places
◾ Tradies undertaking outdoor maintenance and repair work, mobile pet groomers, automated car washes and photographers will be allowed
From 11:59pm on the 1st of November, changes will be made to restrictions that apply to retail, hospitality and personal care services.
The Premier has indicated that the case numbers will be reviewed each and every day this week and if these changes can be made any sooner, they will be.
