Crisis Support

We provide immediate help and support to Filipino families and individuals facing difficult situations, while upholding their privacy, confidentiality and dignity.

 

AFCS provides support for people experiencing:
    • Family violence and domestic violence
    • Mental health crisis
    • At-risk of homelessness/homelessness
    • Elder abuse and neglect
    • Financial hardship
    • Hospitalisation due to accident or sudden illness
    • Other crises

We provide crisis support case work by  our qualified bi-lingual Social Workers to assist Filipinos in accessing mainstream support services including, but not limited to:

    • My Aged Care
    • Services Australia
    • Victoria Police
    • Local Government services
    • Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing i.e. housing services
    • Non-government organisations and service providers i.e. family violence, crisis accommodation,
    • Primary care services i.e. GP
